Obviously, as some of may have gathered, it's been a rough time for Manchester United, the drama of their dramatic fall has, as Oliver Holt has pointed out, become a human one as much as a sporting one for David Moyes. However, now even the cold, hard economic numbers are turning against them.
They have dropped out of the top three of the Deloitte Football Money League for the first time ever (well since this League has been going anyway). Despite lucrative sponsorship deals, United have fallen behind the all-conquering Bayern Munich in the money game. Real Madrid still sit serenely on top with Barcelona in second spot.
