Revealing The Balls.ie Premier League Team Of The Weekend

In a week where Chelsea sent out a warning to the rest, Liverpool showed they couldn't pass the test, and Marouane Fellaini... Well, he was just Marouane Fellaini.

It also featured another great performance from an in form West Brom, who are now in seventh place, and their players pop up a few times in our Premier League Team of the Weekend.

GK- Thibaut Courtois (Chelsea)

Made a number of key saves to frustrate Sergio Aguero and was only breached by a spectacular slice off his own centre backs shin.

RB - James Tomkins (Crystal Palace)

Tomkins helped take a lot of pressure off Alan Pardew with his goal against Southampton. He put three tackles and four dispossessions of the tricky Nathan Redmond on top of that.

CB- Johnny Evans (West Brom)

100% of his aerial duels won, 100% of his tackles won, a 73% pass accuracy and a goal. Not bad for a center back! Their seventh goal from a set piece this season - more than any other side.

CB - Marc Muniesa (Stoke)

Stoke are having another Stoke season ie solid but nothing spectacular (bar the John Walters goal yesterday. Woof!), They've only lost once in their last seven and kept three clean sheets in that time. Muniesa has been key to that.

Who? We weren't too sure either until yesterday, but rave reviews from journalists made us take a look at his performance. Nordin Amrabat was the danger for Watford, but the French defender snuffed out all oppurtunities.

LM - Ryan Fraser (Bournemouth)

A goal and two assists (we're counting the penalty!) against one of the strongest defences in the country to kick start a remarkable comeback for Bournemouth. Not the worst way to make an impact off the bench for the 22-year old Scot.

CM - Cesc Fabregas (Chelsea)

Chelsea's engine behind the comeback in the Etihad. Between Hazard, Fabregas and Costa we've seen an incredible turnaround from last year. Had a comical fall over the advertising boards, but was a star otherwise.

CM- Christian Eriksen (Spurs)

A perfect performance from Eriksen as Spurs tore Swansea to shreds (yay for alliteration). Seven shots, two goals, an assist and a 79% pass success rate.

RM - Chris Brunt (West Brom)

There's a bit of a Northern Irish revival at The Hawthorns these days, between Evans, Gareth McAuley and Brunt!  The 31 year old showed no signs of tiredness, chipping in with a goal and an assist at the Baggies swept aside Watford.

ST - Diego Costa (Chelsea)

Kickstarted Chelsea's comeback with a vintage equalizer - chest down, shove off marker and thumping finish. Played an inch perfect ball for Willian's lead goal

ST - Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal)

Do we really have to explain this one to do? Just look at our analysis of his third goal yesterday for the reasons. Fantasy Football managers rejoiced as he hauled in 23 points.
