It's the transfer window which means many things - Premier League teams will spend quite a lot of money trying to improve their squads, and people will say that Premier League spending has got out of control.
With players like Christian Benteke and Raheem Sterling moving clubs for £32 and £49 million respectively, it highlights how much money is in the Premier League.
Even Aston Villa, who received that £32 million for Benteke, have spent money on the likes of Idrissa Gueye, Jordan Ayew, Jordan Amavi, and Jordan Veretout.
In fact, the £45 million that Villa are rumoured to have spent (undisclosed fees) is more than the entire Dutch league has spent on transfers:
Aston Villa heeft tot nu toe meer uitgegeven op de transfermarkt dan alle eredivisieclubs bij elkaar: 45 om 36 miljoen euro.

According to Dutch journalist Michel Abbink, Villa spent £9 million more in transfers than all of the 18 Eredivisie clubs in Holland.
To make things worse, Aston Villa are only in the top 5 spenders in the Premier League. It doesn't look like slowing down any time soon.
