Scott Hogan has not quite maintained the prolific rate of scoring which saw him net seven goals in four games for Brentford at the end of last season but his goals to games ratio is still impressive.
In 22 Championship games this season, Hogan has 13 goals.
Premier League interest in the striker has increased as a result. According to The Mirror, West Ham and West Brom are have all cast their eye over the 24-year-old.
Several of Brentford's Championship rivals are also considering moves for the player. Those clubs include Aston Villa, Reading and Norwich.
Villa and Norwich were both rumoured earlier this week to be making moves worth around £9m - £10m for the Salford-born striker. That amount will likely not enough with The Mirror adding that Brentford will be asking £15 million for the man they picked up from Rochdale for £750,000 two and a half years ago.
A big move to the Premier League, while obviously a positivie sign in terms of Hogan's ability, would likely scupper chances of him playing for Ireland.
Paul Rowan in The Sunday Times earlier this month reported that Hogan, who has Irish grandparents, 'feels English' and his priority is to play for the country of his birth. Playing in the Premier League would undoubtedly increase the chances of that happening.
