After the resumption of the Champions League last week, who felt the effects of the continental hangover, and who used the extra preparation to their advantage?
Here are this weeks standings in the Premier League crisis table, taking into account how each club is currently feeling after an eventful week of Premier League action.
While Newcastle came back from 2-0 down to snatch a point at home to Hull, they still had to come from 2-0 to snatch a point at home to Hull. SackPardew.com is still in full swing. All the positivity of the Manchester United Premier League title bandwagon came to a screeching halt after they blew a two-goal lead to go down 5-3 at Leicester.
Liverpool suffered their second consecutive Premier League defeat, and are joined by their Merseyside rivals in the danger-zone (there will be no Kenny Loggins or Archer references) as Everton went down at home to Palace. These two meet each other this weekend so it will be very interesting to see where they land on the Premier League crisis table next week.
West Brom grabbed a vital three points at White Heart Lane to pull themselves out of the relegation zone, and they join the likes of Stoke, Burnley, Sunderland, and Hull in the middle of the crisis table, any of those sides could go either way at this point.
West Ham's excellent win against Liverpool takes heaps of pressure off of Big Sam, and Arsenal's convincing win at Villa will have Gunners fans in a much better mood.
In the crisis-free zone, Leicester are on cloud nine, as are Southampton who have had a truly fantastic start to the season under Ronald Koeman. They, along with Swansea and Aston Villa join Chelsea with their feet up in the tranquillity of at least one more week without a crisis.
