Betting Tips: Three Obscure Bets For The Premier League

When we think of outright bets for the Premier League we usually imagine bets such as 'Premier League Winner', 'Top Goalscorer' etc. but there are plenty of other interesting options worth backing too. We've picked three tips that are little more off the beaten track than the usual:

Southampton to finish in the top 10 - 6/4

Jason Puncheon was talking about pushing for the Champions League with Southampton by next season, and while that seems extremely unlikely there's no doubting they have quality players in their team.

Last season was an odd one for the Saints; they played well for the most part but often the results didn't match the performances. However in the second half of the season they began to show promise and now with the addition of Victor Wanyama and Dejan Lovren they have what it takes to break into the top 10 this year.

Top Midlands club: West Brom - 11/8

11/8 for West Brom is an extremely enticing price for what is a three horse race. All they need to do is finish higher than Stoke City and Aston Villa. Granted they will suffer from the loss of Romelu Lukaku but Anelka looks a more than decent replacement, and of course Shane Long will be hugely important too.

Villa will do better this season but they still don't seem to have the squad to finish higher than West Brom, and Stoke City will do well to avoid relegation.

Top Promoted Club: Hull City 15/8

This is perhaps the tip most likely to go horribly wrong but it's also the best value. Looking at Hull 'Tigers'' squad they have a nice mix of youth and Premier League experience. Most favour Cardiff City to finish above them but Steve Bruce has bought wisely over the summer, adding the likes of Danny Graham, Maynor Figueroa and Ahmed Elmohamady with decent experience.

For that reason we're taking a calculated gamble on Paul McShane and co. Still doesn't mean they won't be relegated though.
