Manchester United defeat- Sancho claps back at Ten Hag
It was another disappointing trip to north London for Manchester United. A cagey match between two of the Premier League's great rivals seemed destined for a 1-1 draw, when a potential 89th minute Alejandro Garnacho winner was erased by VAR.
Arsenal then added two goals in extra time - one from Declan Rice, the other from Gabriel Jesus - to seal a memorable win to leaves them in a share of second place heading into the international break.
Erik Ten Hag has another headache deal with from within his own camp. The Dutchman said before the game he'd dropped Jadon Sancho from his match day squad due to his performance in training.
On Sunday evening, Sancho released a statement on the matter, countering Ten Hag's version of events and calling himself a 'scapegoat'.
"Please don't believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week."
"I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won't go into, I've been a scapegoat for a long time which isn't fair!
"All I want to do is play football with a smile on my face and contribute to my team. I respect all decisions that are made by the coaching staff, I play with fantastic players and grateful to do so which I know every week is a challenge.
"I will continue to fight for this badge no matter what!"
Manchester United have six points from four games.
