New York City's star trio of Andrea Pirlo, Frank Lampard and David Villa are among the biggest names to head for the States and join the MLS in recent years.
Some questioned their decision to move to the States when they could have remained at a high-level of European football. Whether their critics are right are wrong, one thing that's for certain is the most questionable thing they have done is take part in a new photoshoot for New York Magazine.
The MLS is often dismissed as a retirement home for aging European stars, if that's true, what you certainly shouldn't do is put them in these kind of photo shoots. It appears the heat has gotten to them at this point, if the oiled-up picture of the trio sitting on stools is anything to go by.

Even the 36-year-old style-God with the perfect beard that is Andrea Pirlo comes off like a sweaty 36-year-old man. While all three men look uncomfortable in their pulled-up shorts and wife-beaters to match.
To be fair, none of them look happy to be there.
