Hector Bellerin And Jeremy Corbyn Ganging Up On Piers Morgan Is A Beautiful Thing

Piers Morgan has finally been hoisted in his career-long ambition to eavesdrop upon other people's conversations by a left-winger and a right-back. Jeremy Corbyn recently met Hector Bellerin at the GQ awards, at which the Labour leader presented Stormzy with an award. Corbyn is an Arsenal fan, so was presumably happy to meet one his club's best players:

Piers 'Just Won't Flush' Morgan was also at the awards, and wrote in The Daily Mail of his attempts to approach Bellerin and Corbyn at the awards. Quite beautifully, Corbyn switched to Spanish to shut Morgan out of the conversation. As Morgan wallowed in the Mail:

Later, fellow Arsenal fan Jeremy Corbyn came over to speak to him. When I tried to interrupt, the Labour leader – whose wife is Mexican – promptly switched to fluent Spanish to shut me out of the conversation.

Morgan did snaffle a couple of words with Corbyn afterward to ask what the pair had talked about, to which Corbyn rejoined:

Corbyn smirked. ‘I told him to please send Arsène Wenger my very best and assure him he continues to have my full support, even if he’s lost yours, Piers. In fact, particularly because he’s lost yours…

Later, Bellerin noticed this nugget on Twitter, and tweeted the following:

Beautifully, Corbyn noticed Bellerin's tweet, and replied in Spanish:

This translates as "great to meet you. Let's not tell him what we talked about, he wouldn't understand. Well played on Sunday".

Morgan's response has been to tweet "'Piers is absolutely right about Arsenal & we have to do better" in Spanish, and retweet an utterly bonkers message stating that this is "Brutal, treacherous and un-British anti-Piers Morgan activity by Corbyn. How can he continue after this?".

No Más.
