Shamrock Rovers lost 2-0 to Aston Villa in a friendly yesterday thanks to goals from Christian Benteke and Andreas Weimann. As is the norm with games like these, the spirit of the friendly is embraced and t-shirts and the dreaded half and half scarves pack the stalls outside the ground. That is no excuse however for this. A half Villa half Rovers kit worn by a grown man. This is the story of the weekend not Joe Brolly.
