John Delaney says in his programme notes for tonight's game against Kazakhstan that the FAI has received interest from "top coaches from around the world". He also says that they are very confident confident of qualifying for the next Euros though that undoubtedly has more to do with the finals being expanded to 24 teams rather than any other factor.
Delaney also writes that the FAI has "put in significant work in recent years years to improving playing standards" and have invested €60 million in various programmes over the last seven years.
