Our Photo Tribute To Ian Harte And His Cultured Left Peg

We get a little bit nostalgic at times here at Balls.ie, and sometimes it can get the best of us.

We're continuing our trend of compiling photo tributes for our former soccer heroes who always gave their best for the boys in green, with a man who was always there when his country called. He divided opinion at times, but he was an absolute master of the dead ball and he always gave 100% for the shirt, and that's why we loved him.

A man who's left boot could open a tin of beans, this is our photo tribute to Ian Harte.

He was involved with the national team from a young age.

Which meant he learned from the best..

One of football's great thinkers.

He was absolutely lethal from the spot.

And he wasn't too shabby with the free-kicks either!

He never quite got the hang of the knee-slide..

So he tried some other methods of celebration.

A bit of a ladies man?

Maybe that explains the "bling"..

He was there for the good times.

As well as the bad times.

But he always had a smile on his face..

He even used his right foot once!

He rubbed shoulders with some of the best.

And he took no prisoners.

He occasionally had to wear the training bib of shame.

But he never let it keep him down.

WE HEART IAN HARTE
