When you think about Everton playmakers Phil Jagielka is not a name that springs to mind. But that's just what happened in tonight's FA cup tie between Liverpool and Everton at Anfield.
After the breakdown of a Liverpool corner Jags could be seen pumping his legs to get into the Liverpool half. He recieves the ball at the edge of the Liverpool area and after cutting back, lays the ball off to the onrushing Sigurdsson who expertly strokes the ball into the corner.
Take a look:
Everton fans were delighting in their captains' attacking exploits:
When you spend £75m on a defender....yet Phil Jagielka manages to get an assist....#LIVEVE

If Van Dijk is a Rolls Royce, then Jagielka is an old Ford Transit. But get the job done somehow. #LIVEVE

Of course this isn't the first time the defender has been involved in a big goal against their town rivals, scoring a sumptuous drive to level a Premier League match in 2014.
The speedy Jagielka will come as no surprise to Dominic Calvert Lewin who recently divulged that the England international is one of the fastest players at the club:
I wonder how much Jags would cost in the current market?
