Juventus are reportedly eyeing up Manchester City's Phil Foden on a free transfer, with the England youth's contract with the Premier League champions up in the summer.
Foden is highly rated at the club, though the midfielder has found it difficult to break into a star studded City team, and may be tempted to take a similar path to Paul Pogba, who famously left Manchester United in 2012 after running down his contract with the club.
According to the Mirror Foden is on Juventus' wishlist, and that the youngster could be available for as little as £175,000.
The 18-year-old has made seven appearances for Pep Guardiola's side this season, scoring one goal in the process, though has only played 46 minutes in the Premier League this term.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, Matt Le Tissier stated that Foden may need to move on loan to progress his career:
Training with the quality of players he is training with day in day out at City is going to do him a lot of good and he’ll learn a lot, but ultimately once he’s learnt, he’s got to be able to put that experience into a competitive environment, and that’s the one thing that will make or break you.
I think if he’s not going to get the game time at Man City then perhaps next season if he does go out on loan somewhere and get enough game time under his belt.
