Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has taken to Twitter to criticise the 'values' of German side Bayer Leverkusen after their official English Twitter account made a joke at his expense in the aftermath last weekend's Manchester City game.
Arsenal suffered a 2-0 defeat against Manchester City during the opening weekend of Premier League action although they were fortunate it was not more when Cech very nearly passed a goal into his own net. As it was, his pass across his own box went out for a corner.
Cech started the game despite the recent £22.5 million signing of Bernd Leno, the former Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper who was reported to have been signed as his replacement.

Today Cech responded to the tweet, criticising the club for their lack of the 'values' that Arsenal uphold.
Hi Petr. It seems our joke about wanting to see Leno, our former player, in action has been taken a bit more harshly/personally than intended. It was only a bit of banter. We’re all for the values you’ve stated and wish you and your big club all the best. Nice 1v1 save on Aguero!
