Earlier tonight at a Leeds Utd fan forum, Peter Lorimer, a director with the club was asked a question about the recent headline making decision by a former Leeds player announcing that he was gay. His answer reportedly was to question the timing of the announcement in relation to the maximizing publicity for a side business, nothing to do with the big issue at heart, noooo.
@haighdavid @SalemPatel Is it really acceptable for Lorimer to slur Robbie Rogers, claiming his 'coming out' was for publicity purposes?

Robbie Rogers, an American who never really cut it at Elland road made waves recently when he quickly followed his decision to retire with the announcement that he was gay. We will surely hear more on this but it's not surprising it came from a guy who hasn't kicked a ball in nearly 30 years.
