Pep Guardiola's Manchester City qualified for the quarter finals of the Champions League in style last night. However he has still not got over Julia Roberts not visiting them when she came to Manchester back in 2016.

A 7-0 victory over RB Leipzig allowed them to progress to the next round. An impressive performance from Erling Haaland gave them the win. He scored five goals in thirty minutes. Captain Ilkay Gundogan and midfielder Kevin De Bruyne scored the two other goals.

Despite hammering the German team, Guardiola cane up with a very unexpected quote in the after match press conference. He stated that he has three heroes and the last one will surprise you:

I have three idols in my life: Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods and Julia Roberts. These are my three idols.

Pep Guardiola says he'll be a failure at Manchester City

He later joked that even by winning a Champions League trophy with City, he will always be a failure at this club. He is still upset that she didn't come and visit them when she came to England:

Whatever happens in the Champions League this year, winning, even if we win this Champions League, three in a row I'll be a failure. She went to visit Man United, she didn't come to see us, so that's why even if I win the Champions League, we will not be compared because of the fact that Julia Roberts came to Manchester and didn't come to see us - my idol.

Manchester United replied to Guardiola's quote today in a very funny way. They posted a tweet with some photos of Julia Roberts' visit at Old Trafford.

Roberts visited Manchester back in 2016 to watch Manchester United v West Ham. The game ended in a 1-1 draw. Jose Mourinho got a red card and Zlatan scored the equalising goals whilst Diafra Sakho opened the score for West Ham in the second minute.
