25 minutes into the Euro 2016 came a moment of disaster for Portugal.
Cristiano Ronaldo was substituted due to a leg injury, he was replaced by Ricardo Quaresma.
The incident which caused the 31-year-old's injury had happened much earlier in the game when surprise French enforcer Dimitri Payet put in a tackle on Ronaldo. He hit the turf in pain and for next 18 minutes would struggle to participate.
Payet received no punishment for the tackle.
Nine minutes after the tackle, Ronaldo was forced from the pitch, though he would momentarily return.
As Ronaldo lay on the deck - Europe's most inconsiderate moth, one of the many who had infested the stadium - landed on Ronaldo's face.
We presume he was looking for a selfie.
