At 40 years old and after retiring twice, we just assumed that Paul Scholes playing career was over, but apparently we shouldn't have made that assumption.
Paul Scholes and the rest of his 'Class Of 92' BFFs minus the clearly too famous for the occasion David Beckham were present in Manchester tonight for a special screening of the first episode of a documentary series based on the successful full length Class Of 92 documentary and the takeover of Salford City FC.
This was the first we had heard about a TV series on the Class Of 92, but Manchester Evening News journalist Katie Fitzpatrick was there, and she is reporting that Scholes was asked if he want's to play again, and admitted he is tempted.

Paul Pogba is reportedly praying that Juventus don't sign him up.
In all seriousness, how crazy would it be to see Scholes make a playing comeback at 40 or older? You would have to imagine the "right opportunity" would perhaps involve his boyhood club Oldham Athletic, as we certainly don't see Scholes as they type to give the MLS a try.
He's almost certainly not lost his eye for a pass, so could there be clubs out there considering a move for the United legend? We'll just have to wait and see.
We'll also have to wait for details of this Class Of 92 series, which we will bring you as soon as we get it.
