BT Sport have today announced that they have signed Paul Scholes on a four-year deal:

The wording of the announcement seems particularly odd, when has a the length of a pundit ever been announced? What about his wages? Thankfully they mentioned "pundit" in the tweet because otherwise some may have thought he was coming out of retirement to play central midfield again.
The normally shy and reserved Paul Scholes made a few waves in English football with an unusually opinionated column where he claimed that Wayne Rooney was past his best, and then tore Arsenal to shreds in a segment on Sky Sports:
Now we can look forward to some more extreme opinions and Paul Scholes pundit clips from the Man United legend as he looks set to become part of the furniture at BT Sport. We suggest he steer clear of co-commentary, as his mate Phil Neville will surely agree.
