Ahead of this afternoon's Manchester derby, fans of United found believed they identified a subtle clue about the potential involvement of Paul Pogba in today's clash with City.
Posting an image of the club's home jersey on their Twitter account, United drew attention to the presence of a poppy flower for this Remembrance Sunday; "We will remember them."
However, keen-eyed viewers noticed the '6' on the inner-seam of the collar. Thoughts were immediately drawn to a certain French midfielder touted not to be involved in today's game.

Needless to say, it didn't take long for many to put 2 + 2 together and get the desired 6; Paul Pogba's squad number.

Unfortunately for these excitable United fans, some were quick to point out that the '6' may in fact be a reference to shirt's size.
For those who don't buy football shirts, the '6' is apparently the shirt size. Eagle-eyed @RichFay clearly still likes a replica.

Furthermore, it appeared that the French midfielder hadn't even travelled with the team as they departed their hotel for the Etihad stadium.
Some thought it might have been mind games from Mourinho regarding Pogba but he wasn't with the squad when they left the Lowry for the Etihad. #MCIMUN

Whether a ruse on the part of Manchester United's social media operatives, or a genuine mistake, when the team was finally announced shortly thereafter, Paul Pogba was indeed nowhere to be seen.
