The curious unravelling of even the basics of Jose Mourinho's management continues apace, with United falling a goal down to Chelsea after only 20 minutes through Rudgier's header from a corner.
United have made a bizarre habit of conceding from set pieces, and they did so again at Stamford Bridge with Rudiger totally unmarked in the penalty area to head home. Paul Pogba's reaction to the goal stirred the ire of many watching on. The Frenchman threw his arms about in a tantrum in reaction to the goal, in spite of the fact that Rudiger seemed to be the player he was assigned to mark.
These screengrabs show Pogba picking up Rudiger:
....and Pogba's reaction when Rudiger heads home.
Gary Neville was unimpressed on commentary with Sky:
Who's he blaming? He's having a go at Lindelof I think saying that you blocked me. I'm sorry Paul, he didn't. He was marking David Luiz.
Those watching on also spotted Pogba's error.
Need to see replay but was he supposed to be Pogba's man? Pogba leaping around in frustration after it looking for people to blame. He's too easily distracted.

United undone at another set-piece. Paul Pogba to blame for that. #mufc

If you can’t compete, then at least try and make it difficult for your opponent to win the header. Pogba, did neither. If he had put as much effort into defending as he did hugging the opposition players in the tunnel before kick-off, it would be 0-0. #CFC #MUFC

Extremely Sunday league that-was-my-man-but-I’ll-pretend-it-wasn’t reaction from Pogba, there.

Pogba’s reaction after that goal sums him up. Refusing to take responsibility. So, so poor. Of all the ways to concede for United against Chelsea, you wouldn’t have expected it to be like that.
