It's been a bad week for Ireland's Paul McShane. One of Ireland's cult heroes was released by his club Hull City at the end of his contract after they were relegated from the Premier League.
And while this won't make that better, at least the week is ending on a positive note for McShane after TV3 announced he will make an appearance on their coverage of the FA Cup final between Arsenal and Aston Villa.
It's the first time that the FA Cup will be screened on terrestrial television in Ireland for 17 years, and there will be two Irish players involved with Shay Given and Jack Grealish.
McShane will join Brian Kerr and Tommy Martin for the studio analysis, while Kevin Kilbane and Dave McIntye will be in the commentary box, as TV3 confirm that they will screen the FA Cup final live for the following three years until 2018 aswell.
Kieran Holden, thegroup head of TV3 Sport is delighted that Paul McShane will be involved:
Paul McShane has always given everything on the pitch, so we expect the same in studio on Saturday. He has been on the opposite side to Arsenal and Aston Villa on 4 occasions in the last season, his insight should be thought provoking!
The final kicks off at 5pm.
