Paul McGrath is absolutely pumped for UEFA Euro 2016.
The former Ireland defender and absolute legend was speaking on 2FM's 'Game On' on Wednesday afternoon, and after spending a few minutes outlining how upset he is with the current situation at his former club Aston Villa, his mood flipped entirely when asked about the current Ireland team.
After comparing Wes Hoolahan to Juan Mata and labelling him a 'class act', McGrath then revealed why he is confident that the boys in green will put on a good showing this time out, because nobody wants to play against us.
No-one will want to play against us, Italy, Belgium, or Sweden.
The greatest thing about the Irish team is; when the opposition hear they are playing against Ireland, they kind of freak out.
I'm just going to say that I'm proud of the way the team are playing at the moment. I'm proud of the level way that Martin and Roy have the team. There not afraid of anyone.
Zlatan and all this bravado that he gives off, Irish people don't fear that. Bring it on.
I think we're much more of a cohesive team [than 2012], we play much better. I think with Jonny Walters and Shane Long and people like that, we'll go into that looking for wins. I think it's going to be a magnificent summer.
COYBIG!!
McGrath's enthusiasm is infectious, we just hope the current squad pick up on his positive vibes and carry that with them to France.
We're ready, Paul is ready. Bring it on.
