After a highly forgettable season long loan at Crystal Palace was cut short, Irish qualified striker Patrick Bamford is being loaned out of Chelsea's squad yet again.
The high-talented 22-year-old striker is joining his sixth different club on loan from Chelsea, with Sean Dyche's Burnley looking to give the England U-21 striker another shot in the Premier League.
It hasn't happened for the former Irish U-18 star since he fired 17 goals in 39 games for Middlesbrough two seasons ago, sparking calls for Martin O'Neill to attempt to persuade him
to come back into the Irish fold. The talented youngster only made six appearances for the Eagles last year, before finishing the season on loan at Norwich with seven games. He only started twice last season altogether.
He's yet to make any appearance for Chelsea, but now he's got a great chance for Premier League football competing with Andre Gray and Sam Vokes for a place in the first team. There was a lot of competition for the striker from the Championship, with QPR, Villa, and Fulham all intrigued - but Bamford now has a chance to prove himself at Burnley.
Bamford has previously said he hasn't ruled out returning to the Ireland set-up in the future.
