Six of Saturday's twelve League One games were called off this weekend but Swindon vs Shrewsbury was not one of them. This was mainly due to manager Paolo Di Canio and an army of helpers who shoveled snow from the pitch on Friday evening in order to made it playable. Di Canio rewarded the help by buying pizza for everyone afterwards.
Former Swindon Town player Kevin Horlock tweeted a picture of the aftermath of the feast.
It was definitely worth the effort in the end as Swindon won the game 2-0 moving them to within 7 points of an automatic promotion spot.
