Carlow native Padraig Amond was the hero for Newport County this evening as they beat Leicester 2-1 to dump Claude Puel's side out of the FA cup.
The 31-year-old stepped up in the 85th minute to strike the decisive penalty after Mac Albrighton handled the ball in the box.
Newport had taken the lead through Jamille Matt on 10 minutes, but Racid Ghezzal looked to have taken the tie to a replay when he equalised on 83 minutes from long range:

But following Albrighton's moment of madness it was left to Amond to put his side into the next round from the penalty spot.
This time last year Amond was performing similar heroics in the FA Cup, when his side knocked Leeds United out of the cup.
