Spurs got their season off to a dream start last weekend, pulling off a huge shock by beating Manchester City in their league opener.
It was a result that few expected, especially considering the turmoil around the club in recent weeks. It was presumed that this could be a rather tough campaign for the North London club, but that performance would have given their supporters some hope that they could defy expectations over the coming months.
Such notions probably haven't lasted long.
Spurs would fall to a 1-0 defeat to Portuguese side Pacos de Ferreira Europa Conference League qualifier last night. While they did admittedly field a largely experimental side, the result would not have gone down well amongst their fans.
They are now in danger of not even qualifying for Europe's third tier club competition. Perhaps the only thing worse than being in the Europa Conference League would be the embarrassment of not even making it that far.
What's worse, their opponents were ripping the piss out of them long before a ball was kicked.
After the draw was made for the tie, Pacos de Ferreira posted a video on their Twitter account making fun of Spurs' standing amongst London clubs.
The sketch features two supporters, who after hearing their club had drawn a team from London, guessing what team they would face. It was the lowest hanging of fruit, but it is pretty hilarious considering how the game would go.
You can watch it (with subtitles) below.

Pacos de Ferreira finished fifth in the Primeira Liga last season, with the club famous for punching above their weight despite operating off a small budget.
Spurs will be heavily fancied to overturn this deficit in the second leg, but we would look forward to seeing the video that could be produced if the Portuguese club could finish the job next week.
