Can't believe this! A referee was left bloodied and bruised after an unbelievable incident in the Romanian lower leagues. The match between Semenicul Valiug and Minerul Anina had to be stopped when one arsehole decided he was going to head-butt the referee.
Not only did he crack the poor official right on his nose; he did it from a running start. To the ref's credit he got straight back up, walked to the sideline and quietly tended to his injury, receiving no support from the cowardly onlookers who were visibly intimidated by the perpetrators bulk.
The official's job looks to be a tough gig, especially when you take into account the location; judging by the reactions of the crowd, this hasn't been the first time that a referee has been butted in front of them.
