Don't say we didn't warn you! Alright we didn't think it would be by so much but we hope you followed our advice yesterday and backed Germany to win at 9/5 in the first of the World Cup's semi-finals.
Our €50 bet with Betpack netted us a nice €140 to go back into our Billy Beane statistician's kitty, which is looking nice and plump now at €320. Unfortunately our big odds 'Sure Thing' bet of Schurrle last goalscorer and Germany to win 2-1 didn't come off but to be fair we were just five goals and the order of the last two scores out!
Anyhow, all eyes now to turn to the Netherlands v Argentina and it's very tough to pick a winner. In fact we think it will be impossible to separate these two. Both defences are poor so we're thinking Both Teams To Score at evens is a given but Billy Beane's been wooed but slightly bigger odds. Here are our bets for tonight.
Billy Beane bet of the day
A draw and both teams to score at 7/2 almost twisted the arm of the ever conservative Billy but he's played it a little more safe and is backing just the draw. For anyone who thinks it could go all the way, penalties are also enticing at 9/2.
Bet: €50 on Draw at 11/5
Sure Thing bet of the day
As we said earlier, we don't trust either defence; especially Argentina given that Lorenzo is so bad. So with that in mind we're expecting goals galore ... Not as many as last night but still a lot.
Bet: €10 on Over 4.5 goals at 9/1
