Lenny Abrahamson was named as one of the five nominees for Best Director at this year's Oscars.

This is a testament to his film 'Room', which Rolling Stone described as 'unique and unforgettable'.

It could also read as a sign of the Academy making amends for their failure to nominate his short film 'Ireland win the World Cup' in the Best Short' category in 2002.

That Jason McAteer was overlooked in the actor category is one of the greatest blots on the academy's reputation.

Rolling Stone have yet to review the ad, but we find it searing and unforgettable and are particularly impressed by the imaginative use of the Amsterdam Arena and Lansdowne Road.
