25 jerseys belonging to local charities along with a laptop were stolen from Dundalk's Oriel Park during a break-in in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
According to LMFM, Gardaí are investigating the incident which it is believed took place between 5am and 7.30am.
The following statement regarding the break-in was posted to the Dundalk FC Supporters Club Facebook page.
Sadly we have to report a break in at our offices at Dundalk Football Club last night, the intruders gained entry by smashing a large window at the rear of the building between the hours of 5 am and 7.30 am.
Taken in the robbery were twenty-five jerseys that belonged to local charities, a laptop was also taken containing material that is very important to the club and would be of no benefit to anyone other than Dundalk FC. We call on those responsible to reflect on their actions and return these items to our club.
We call on all our supporters to be vigilant and report any attempt to sell these items. If you have any information please do not hesitate to contact the local Gardaí or any club member in the strictest confidence.
