Have you heard that Sky Sports commentator Martin Tyler hates Liverpool? It would seem unlikely that a widely respected commentator with experience covering football across six decades has an open hatred towards one of the biggest clubs in England, right!? WRONG!
A totally impartial study by KopRedArmy225491 on Twitter came to the conclusion that Tyler does in fact hate the scousers and that every Liverpool goal makes him feel incredibly nauseous. The account, along with its nine followers, pointed out that Tyler's underwhelming response to a forgettable goal by Takumi Minamino in a fairly routine Liverpool win away at Southampton last season was clear evidence of a disgraceful bias against LFC.

The study rails against the obvious agenda perpetrated by the mainstream media to paint Tyler as impartial, which points to a range of responses from Tyler to Liverpool goals over the years. Forget the time he and his colleague Andy Gray lost their minds when Steven Gerrard scored against Panathinaikos, or when Tyler erupted as Neil Mellor scored a late winner against Arsenal at Anfield. These two examples are pure subterfuge. Anyone who is willing to do the research and keep asking questions can clearly see that Martin Tyler hates the Reds.
You might ask, why? Is it because he loves Manchester United? Well, it's hard to say. His most famous moment in commentary was his epic reaction to Sergio Aguero winning the title for Manchester City at the expense of United in 2012. So maybe he's a City fan then? Well actually, he was booed by City fans when he appeared at an event marking the ten year anniversary of the Aguero goal. Maybe this was because City fans were still outraged by the fact Tyler was audibly devastated by a Raheem Sterling goal against Newcastle that helped them on their way to another league title last season. City also haven't forgotten the time he went bananas for Ji Dong-won's injury time winner for Sunderland against City in 2012.

In that case, it is a bit strange that Martin Tyler doesn't seem thrilled about Arsenal stretching out to an eight-point lead over City at the top of the Premier League this season. But his reaction to both Arsenal goals in the latest North London derby gave clear evidence of his disgust at the prospect of the Gunners lifting the trophy in May. Forget about the time when he went insane with joy as Tony Adams rounded off Arsenal's title win in 1998 with a memorable goal against Everton - Tyler is clearly letting his anti-Arsenal bias play out on screen despite his professional obligations.

You'd think he was a Spurs fan! But Tottenham supporters haven't gotten over his disgracefully low-key response to Erik Lamela's rabona finish against Arsenal, which despite happening in an empty stadium, deserved far more shrieking and hyperbole than Martin Tyler was willing to offer.

If you are a sheep who is blind to these obvious injustices, then you might say that it is reasonable that Martin Tyler - who actually support Woking, is now 77 years of age and has reacted to thousands of goals over the course of his career - might simply be on the decline as a lead commentator. Maybe you'd think that all commentators should have a range of reactions to goals, so as not to dilute the impact of the biggest moments in sport. But if that's what you think, then you're clearly not joining the dots!
Don't listen to anyone who tries to tell you that all of these fan-led allegations of bias towards Martin Tyler are simply the latest toxic trend among the paranoid, tribal world of football fandom on social media.
Just keep watching closely, and if you don't come to the conclusion that Martin Tyler clearly hates Liverpool, Man United, Man City, Arsenal, Spurs and pretty much every other team that plays in the Premier League, then I'll eat my tinfoil hat.
