Unbelievably, that's not even the worst prediction ye furnished us with.
We asked you back in August to stare into your tattered and perhaps faulty crystal balls and tell us what would happen in the 2013-14 Premier League season. What unfolded was the one of the most surprising League title races for many a year, as much of what we thought we knew in 2013 was turned on its head.
We hand out our awards to the best and worst predictions (scroll down to see some of them). Before that here's a rundown of some of the predictions you lot had in August that now look distinctly odd. But do remember, the past is another country.
Who Will Win The Premier League?
Back in August, Chelsea were the fashionable pick to win the League, and when your predictions were totted up, it became apparent that they had claimed an overall majority. The Mourinho factor may have been decisive.
Slightly more of you tipped City to win the League over United, with the side once derided as 'noisy neighbours' claiming 23% of the vote. Given that United were champions in 2012-13, most of you were far-sighted enough to predict a drop-off with the departure of Ferguson, however 20% of you reckoned it would still be business as usual at the top.
And that left one remaining vote. Yes, just one vote went to a team other than those three titans. And that went to Liverpool. Yes, a certain Mr. Norman Birney daringly predicted that Liverpool would jump from 7th to 1st this season. And how close he came! He also reckoned Moyes would be the first to get the sack (again wrong but in another sense perceptive enough...) and United would come 4th.
Would United make the Top 4?
An unfair one here. For all the uncertainty that surrounded Moyes from the earliest days, the possibility that Manchester United would fail to make the top 4 was not one considered by the majority of folk. But a few very astute people (or optimistic Liverpool fans) reckoned the sky would fall in on Old Trafford with the gum-chomping Glaswegian no longer in the dugout. And how right you were. All eight of you.
