Most sports fans at some stage in their life have probably said 'I'd like to work in some sort of job related to sport.' Now I've gone down the rather mainstream route of sports journalism but don't confine yourself to such a narrow career spectrum.
For instance here's another type of sports job advertised this week ... a golf ball scuba diver in Galway. Advertised on jobsearch.ie, it reads:
Hello,
I am the C.E.O of a recycled golf ball website called www.encoregolfballs.ie.At the moment we buy in our recycled golf balls from Spain. They have been collected from lakes over there, sorted and sent to us.
We are trying to do the same thing here in Ireland to make it cheaper to get the golf balls. So we are looking for a professional scuba diver that will dive in lakes around the west of Ireland (We are based in Oranmore,Galway.)
The pay will be negotiated but it'll be very worth your while.Pay will probably be based per golf ball found but that will be negotiated.
Thank you,
Richard Noonan.
Does this sound like it's something that would interest you? Is it the perfect blend of underwater sea discovery and erm, golf to appease your taste?
