Gary Kelly turns 40 today and to celebrate the milestone we trawled through the archives to bring you a pictorial gallery of that is great about the man, the legend, the Uncle of Ian Harte.

While certain teammates were arguing about the conditions in Saipan, Gary was inventing new games

Even before arriving in Sapain Gary was giving the management team a dig out

Strangely enough he was the first person to show Kenny Cunningham how to act on TV

But it wasn't until 2001 that Gary perfected his own camera pose

DEPENDABLE - He had always been the go to guy when someone in the squad needed a haircut, see here helping Robbie Keane persuade Lee Carsley to finally get a zero blade.

As well as defend he could really hit them, check out this goal against Wigan for Leeds, bear in mind it was recorded on a 4 slice toaster

And despite having to train each day with Leeds he somehow managed a decent stint playing Jimmy Doyle on Fair City, even marrying Lorraine, what a catch Gary/Jimmy

He was always thinking of others he was keen to stop others from looking completely stupid by getting in on the joke

Famous for his low heading ability, he was always on the lookout for another chance at breaking the record

Although a celebrated full back, he was always happiest in a pair of gloves

Most of all he had no fucking time for stupid photoshoots

And most of all he never gave up on a chance to take the piss out of Mick Byrne
