Thursday brought about the start of the mens football tournament at Rio 2016, and all eyes were on Neymar as he lead his Brazil team out in a quest to win the only tournament they have not yet won in their history.
Unfortunately for Neymar, and Brazilians everywhere, they could only manage an underwhelming 0-0 draw with South Africa which meant that the highlight of the day came from elsewhere, and it came from an Arsenal youngster.
Well, not technically from an Arsenal youngster, as Serge Gnabry put the finish touch on a goal that was all about the assist. We may have already seen the sexiest assist at this Olympic games.
What a pass, squeezed through the eye of a needle.
The finish was also excellent to be fair to Gnabry, and although Mexico would again take the lead, Germany found another reply to make the score 2-2/
Attendances throughout the tournament we very poor, so it has not gotten off to the best of starts, but hopefully we see a bit more excitement as the tournament progresses.
