So Carlos Alberto Torres, captain of Brazil's 1970 World Cup winning side, has taken to Twitter. I guess with the World Cup only a few months away, we can expect more legends of the Seleçao to be persuaded to do likewise.
Still without the coveted blue tick, the profile looks genuine enough, with shout-outs to New York Cosmos and a lighthearted exchange with the BBC's Ben Smith. Hopefully he stays genuine and platitude-free, unlike this fella...
Hello @BenSmithBBC , this is Diego's idea! Now you may find me around here! Best regards!

Only two days and a relative handful of followers into his Twitter adventure, the 69-year-old has uploaded a Vine of his famous goal in that final, and one of a header he bagged for New York Cosmos in a game against AS Roma.
Goal I scored for The New York Cosmos (@NYCosmos) in a gane against @OficialASRoma. Good times! https://t.co/Z9CHiw7PK7

This is a bit like Johnny Giles joining Twitter, as opposed to this guy. We can only wish.
