After hours of negotiations and torment we are pleased to announce that Balls.ie(Balls Media Ltd) is to formally approach the current owners of Real Oviedo. The amount of the investment will remain undisclosed but sources close to the club suggest the fee involved to be in the territory of 10 euro plus applicable taxes.
Balls.ie wish to announce that following the successful negotiations and in advance of the contracts being signed that plans are afoot to save this sleeping giant and bring it back to the top-level of Spanish Football. We would also like to refute the stories suggestion that we have made Steve Staunton a non-negotiable part of the deal. We do admire Steve as a manager but will only enter such discussions once the current squad has had a chance to have their voices heard.
