Celtic picked up a much-needed 1-0 win against Aberdeen in yesterday's Scottish Premiership tie. Despite doing what they can to keep up with Hearts at the time of the league, the talk of the game was a tackle on Celtic's striker Odsonne Edouard.
Victim to a vicious scissor-tackle from Aberdeen's Scott McKenna, the referee Bobby Madden amazingly decided that it wasn't even worthy of a foul.
Limping off and taking no further part in proceedings, the French striker Edouard has today taken to Instagram to share a photograph of the incident, and the explanation Madden offered for not blowing his whistle.
The mind boggles as to how the referee decided no action was required after seeing this incident play out first-hand, but at least Edouard appears to have taken the whole thing in his stride.
