So Now We Know Who's Really Responsible For Man United's Terrible Form This Season...

David Moyes has been taking most of the flak for United's dreadful first half of the season. However, statistics suggest that one of the very senior players in the United dressing room is in fact to blame for United's form.

According to the statistics published by the BBC, Manchester United has won only 29% of League games when the Peckham-born, Twitter-loving, amnesiac, Rio Ferdinand has been in the side.

This is compared with a respectable 62% winning ratio when he's been out of the side.

Maybe Moyes needs to man up and get rid of Ferdinand and save himself in the process.

However, a couple of caveats

It should be noted that Ferdinand has only played seven league games this season, winning two, drawing two and losing three. The losses came against Liverpool, Man City and West Brom. He has also played in most of United Champions League wins.

And it should also be noted that Robbie Savage used it as evidence that Rio should be one of the twelve players offloaded by United at the end of the season. But then Robbie and Rio have never been best friends since their bitter and protracted Twitter war of 2010. A more violent row was only averted when former US envoy to Northern Ireland, Richard Haas was called in.
