The Mathieu Valbuena sex tape blackmail story has another twist this morning.
The AFP news agency is reporting that Karim Benzema been taken into custody over an alleged plot to blackmail Valbuena with a sex tape.

He is the second footballer to be questioned about the affair. On October 13 last month, Djibril Cisse was arrested following a raid on his Paris house at 6am. He was arrested along with three other individuals, with AFP reporting at the time that the alleged sex tape (the existence of which had not been proven) was in the possession of the other three individuals.
Cisse was released the same day.
According to French football journalist Julien Laurens, some sources are claiming that Benzema's put pressure on Valbuena to pay the blackmailers.

All these events relate to a judicial investigation was opened last July over a claim that Valbuena was the victim of an extortion attempt.
