What do we know about James McClean? A few things by now. He scores massive goals for Ireland. He dishes out meaty challenges as frequently as Leo Burdocks give out newspaper parcels of fish n' chips. He is not a fan of the British monarch.
Speaking of which, we also know that James McClean is fond of a rebel song. So it was with great joy that we had a look at the Instagram story of McClean's wife Erin last night, who shared footage of a car ride sing-song with McClean driving home through the dark Welsh night about 90 minutes after the full time whistle.
.
The likes of 'Grace' and 'Celtic Symphony' were belted out with great passion by McClean (and who's strangely driving a car with the steering wheel on the left hand side), his wife, his brother Patrick and another passenger. It's nice to know McClean was doing what so many fans were doing after the final whistle: singing Irish songs ecstatically.
With the match in Cardiff, we presume a lot of the Irish team headed home after the final whistle to celebrate privately. McClean and co. had the Wolfe Tones Greatest Hits to get them home.
All in all it was a beautiful day for the McClean family.
Possibly no one has enjoyed playing for Ireland as much James McClean. He shows his passion for Ireland with his goals and tackles during the match and with his songs after it.
