It's not very often that one of St. Mirren's loan acquisitions gets so much attention, so when it happens it's important we sit up and take notice.
Brad Lyons joined the Buddies this afternoon, on the lend from Blackburn Rovers. The Northern Irish midfielder has spent most of the season turning out for the Lancashire side's U-23s in Premier League 2, having completed a move from Irish Cup winners Coleraine in August.
St. Mirren manager, Oran Kearney, will be hoping that his reunification with the playmaker, who he had under his tutelage at the Coleraine Showgrounds, can help steer his charges away from the foot of the Scottish Premiership table, with the Paisley side sitting just one rung from the bottom.
But whilst Lyons' arrival to The SimpleDigital Arena has been welcomed by fans, others have taken to Twitter to poke fun at the 21 year-old, after what seemed an innocuous enough, unveiling photograph.
Why, you ask?
Well, it would seem wearing spectacles during said photos, is just not on for some people.
Whilst some pointed out a resemblance to cult hero McLovin from Judd Apatow's 2007 film, Superbad, other's weren't quite as nice...

Whether or not Lyons proves a hit north of the border remains to be seen. Kearney is optimistic, predicting the fans will "absolutely...love him". But sink or swim, Lyons', at least for one day, has become a mini-sensation in his own right.
The midfielder should be in the squad to face Alloa this weekend in the Scottish Cup, but expect some not-so-mature ribbing of the midfielder should he make his Premiership bow against Celtic at Parkhead, next Friday night.
