Irishman Eoin Doyle scored his 22nd goal of the season last night as Chesterfield drew 2-2 with Scunthorpe in the FA Cup third round.
His prolific scoring rate this season has attracted the attention of numerous clubs, most recently Derby and Celtic. Sky Sports have added Cardiff to that list of named suitors and also say that "as many as nine clubs are looking at the player."
He has 18 months left on his current deal and the League One club, who are apparently reluctant to see him depart, value him at between £1m and £2m.
The 26-year-old is from Dublin and has previously played with Shamrock Rovers, Sligo Rovers and Hibs.
