Arsenal striker Niklas Bendtner was arrested yesterday on suspicion of causing criminal damage in the luxury apartment block where he lives.
The Dane was held by Hertfordshire Police yesterday, who let Bendtner go with a caution. From ITV:
"A 25-year-old man from Bushey has been cautioned for criminal damage and is no longer in custody."
Bendtner has since taken to Instagram to explain what happened and apologise for the damage.
Inevitably, Bendtner's arrest was the subject of much tittering on Twitter.
Nicklas Bendtner has been arrested more times than he has scored this season. #StupidFootballFacts

#AFC's Nicklas Bendtner has been arrested. The positive is it seems he hit the target when taking aim at a door. http://t.co/kjqLgrumlV

Nicklas Bendtner has been arrested. To be fair he has been robbing a living as a professional footballer.
