The post-mortem of their World Cup exit continues in Brazil. In the aftermath of the game several reporters were critical of Neymar's performance, and now his father is under scrutiny.

Neymar Sr. was the only family member allowed to stay in the team hotel in Sochi. Per a report in Folha, this week reporter Camila Mattoso had sources which indicated the PSG striker's father held a party in the hotel after Brazil's group stage game against Switzerland. The same source indicated that technical director Edu Gaspar confronted Neymar Sr. about the party, to which he was told that he better win the World Cup or he would be sacked.

Both parties denied this was the case. However, when the reporter asked Neymar Sr. about the party, he was furious and reached for a typical school ground insult.

I did not give you my phone number. I do not know you, I do not know who you are. You have no right to call me. Now, are you approaching me with such a question? I did not have any party, do you understand? I want to know who the liar is and if you want to sell the newspaper? The party I had was with your mother. I was with your mother there. I made the party with your mother.

The extraordinary account comes just four days after it was reported that. Neymar Sr. met with the PSG owners and told them that Neymar must be 'the only king' at the club.
