Paris Saint-Germain continued their winning start to the Ligue 1 season with this evening's 4-2 defeat of Nimes. With their star-studded starting XI, Kylian Mbappe, Edinson Cavani, Angel Di Maria and Neymar were among the goalscorers.
As per usual, however, it was the Brazilian who left the indelible mark on proceedings.
Although a late red-card for the French World Cup winner Mbappe may come back to haunt Thomas Tuchel's side, Neymar, who opened the scoring for the reigning champions, was determined that he would leave the home fans with an afternoon they are unlikely to forget.
Pilloried so often for his histrionic diving and simulation, the Nimes fans are unlikely to have been the first to target Neymar with an accusatory banner.
However, the Brazilian clearly spotted the little sign set up behind one of the goals at the Stade des Costieres.
Converting the opening goal of the game, Neymar made his way over to the sign in the perfect act of retaliation.

Taking off over to the fans and their sign, Neymar gave them exactly what they wanted.
