Newcastle were dumped out of the Champions League this evening, after suffering a 1-2 home loss at the hands of AC Milan.
Although they joined Man United in finishing bottom of their group, they were on course to qualify after Joelinton's top corner banger in the 33rd minute.
However, while the favourable 1-1 score between Dortmund and PSG remained, Newcastle could not hold it together at St. James' Park.
Milan equalised in the 59th minute through Christian Pulisic, before substitute Samuel Chukwueze put the game to bed with a break away goal in the 84th minute.
Suffice to say, rival fans were all too pleased to rub salt into the wounds of the Saudi owned club.

"I thought there were some really good bits, we were dominant at times, but probably needed the second goal," Newcastle manager Eddie Howe said after the game.
"We didn't defend the two goals well enough.
"It was very much end to end. Both teams were desperate to win. We wanted to win the game and we were trying to head for the Champions League so we had to be brave.
"They had to be brave. It made for a very good game. We did create chances and we're absolutely devastated not to go through.
"You always have to use disappointment - the setbacks - as motivation and fuel for your fire to make sure you continue to achieve.
"We'll go back to the Premier League and try and do as much as we can to be consistent and stay up there."
