Apologies to the many loyal Leeds United, Aston Villa, and Sunderland supporters that hail from these shores, but Preston North End have become the nation's Championship team.
As if the five Irish players in the first team squad wasn't enough to make Republic of Ireland fans keep an eye out for their results and wish them well, then the new green away kit might just do it.
The likes of Daryl Horgan, Alan Browne, and Greg Cunningham (who was chosen as the model in this case) will be kitted out in orange (kind of). white, and green next season as the club unveiled their new kits today.

Looking well lads, 'tis a fine shade of green.
Cunningham is a fan anyway, as he took to Twitter to give his approval.

And the marketing decision to go with those colours (they had to go with yellow as wearing the orange of their West Lancashire rivals Blackpool was never going to happen) did not go unnoticed by fans on social media either.

A great bunch of lads, hopefully the Irish contingent are inspired to put in a good showing next season.
If you're an Irish football fan, you'll be hoping they can go all the way and earn promotion so we can see more of our guys in the Premier League... And while we're at it, fingers crossed Burnley can push on and secure Champions League football too.
